| The
sixties - Basic urban construction |
|
The sixties were characterised by a big demand from the public
sector, deriving from road and infrastructure construction
requirement and from the desire to start embellishing the
city and the squares, driven by a sense of pride for national
beauty and also by a renewed economic vivacity. The works
carried out in Piazza della Scala in Milan, which contemplated
suds parts and blocks, and the creation of several hallways
inside the period buildings in the most important Italian
cities date back to this period.

| The extractive and artisan activity
integrated quickly with the industrial activity. The production
of Mergozzo Graniti consisted of the working of semi-finished
parts, such as bush-hammered and polished slabs, as well as
the execution of handmade products in different styles carried
out according to drawing. |
