The nineties - Internationalisation
The nineties signalled a slowing down period of big public projects.
The national customer mix and the internationalisation base started in the previous years allowed to maintain the volume of business and to expand further, especially abroad.

The foreign activity started at the end of the eighties in co-operation with the big producers of marble of the area of Verona and Carrara, but during the decade, Mergozzo Graniti established and consolidated gradually the direct relation with big international contractors.

At the end of the nineties, more than half of the turnover of the company derived from international activity.

Important works were carried out during this period: finishes of big buildings, external elements and interior furniture, squares, fountains, for several countries from China to the United States, Germany, Portugal, South America, just to mention some of the most important works(see portfolio).
