| The project provided for
the renovation of Piazza Centrale at Grumello, in the
province of Bergamo (Italy).
The design of the paving envisaged a composition of
4.140 pieces forming a circle of 36 m. of diameter divided
in concentric rings for an overall area of ca 1.900
sqm. completely realised in a bend.
This project represented several challenges in its
realisation since each mosaic combination required the
preparation of a specific template, in order to allow
the specific cut of the stone.
The difficulty of the composition forced the meticulous
reconstruction of the entire square in the yard of the
laboratory. Each piece was housed, numbered and packaged
for delivery. The project was realised in less than
three months from the signing of the project.
